This covers 55 libraries or institutions which have materials about Norwegian-Americans in South Dakota. Many of them are not located in South Dakota. These libraries also have colletions and materials about Norwegian-Americans living elsewhere, such as Wyoming, Washington, and Wisconsin to mention a few. While the guide lists specifically those materials relating to South Dakota, the repositories have a wealth of information about Norwegian-Americans regardless of their location.
