(Redirected from Berkeley County, North Carolina)United States North Carolina Berkeley County Berkeley County (or precinct) replaced the name of Perquimans County (or precinct) in 1680. Due to citizen objections to the name change, by 1681, or the mid-1680s Berkeley Precinct was changed back to Perquimans Precinct. Records of Berkeley County or Precinct are now found in repositories of Perquimans County, North Carolina.
