Purpose of the Society
The purpose of this society shall be to bring together those people interested in the history of Caldwell County. The society’s function will be to research, record and display material which may help to establish or illustrate the history of Caldwell County, and provide for the preservation and accessibility of such material. Also to provide upkeep, restoration and history of the Caldwell Historical Society Building.

Society Projects
- Research of 1,000 names embroidered on an 1890 Quilt donated to the Caldwell County Historical Society in April 1009.
- Research of the Caldwell County boys who served in companies C and H of the 44th Regiment (Union). Half were lost in the Battle of Franklin, Tennessee.
- Research of the southeast corner of Caldwell County, including the Black Oak area and the Plumb and Mud Creek Settlements.
