Background

A north-south trail along the Susquehanna River used by German Mennonites to migrate Ontario, Canada after the King of Great Britain opened up settlement in this area in 1800. This went from Reading, Pennsylvania in the United States to Halton County, Ontario, Canada.

The total route is given at Brethern Life Migrations. This route was used by the Church of the Brethern in the 1840's and 1850's.
