The Choctaw-Bay St Louis Trail was first traveled by settlers in 1820-1835. It began near Meridian, Lauderdale county, Mississippi and ran through Clarke, Jasper, Jones, Forrest, Lamar, and Pearl River and Hancock counties ending in Bay St Louis, Mississippi.
