Chapelry History

A chapelry in the parish of Halifax, in Morley division of Agbrigg and Morley, Liberty of Wakefield; 3 miles from Hebden Bridge, 8 miles from Halifax. Population included with Halifax. The Church is a perpetual curacy, dedicated to St. John in the Wilderness. It was built in about the year 1815.
