Cumberland TraceEdit This Page
From FamilySearch Wiki
Trail running from Rockwood, Tennessee to Nashville, Tennessee.
This trail, which owes its name to early white settlers, branched from the Tennessee River, Great Lakes, and Ohio Trail in Roane County, TN. The route was much used by the Cherokee in going from the region around the junction of the Clinch and Tennessee Rivers to the central portions of the Cumberland Valley. See also Avery’s Trace.
