Dennistown (also known as Dennystown) is a Maine plantation in the forests of Somerset County first organized in 1852 as a district of the mega-plantation Moose River Plantation from:

Maine's mega-plantations were disbanded in 1859 and split into their constituent parts. Dennistown was organized as a plantation in 1873, and confirmed and made valid in 1895.[2]
