Parish History

DEAN, EAST, a parish, in the union of West Hampnett, hundred of Westbourn and Singleton, rape of Chichester, W. division of Sussex, 8 miles (S. by E.) from Midhurst.[1]

East Dean St Simon and St Jude is an Ancient Parish near Eastbourne in the Wealden district of East Sussex; a history of the church may be found East Dean near Eastbourne

This parish should not be confused with East Dean (West Sussex) or East Dean All Saints, West Sussex

The parish church of St Simon and St Jude has been designated a grade I listed building British listed building
