England Voting RegistersEdit This Page
From FamilySearch Wiki
In England, voting registers generally fall into two categories:
- Poll books (c.1695 to 1872)
- Electoral registers (1832 to the present)
Jeremy S. W. Gibson (and the Federation of Family History Societies in England) has written and published guides to the poll books and electoral registers. These guides are available at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City and at other archives around the world, and may be available through book sellers.
