Parish History

FALMER, a parish, in the union of Newhaven, hundred of Younsmere, rape of Lewes, E. division of Sussex, 4 miles (W. by S.) from Lewes, on the road to Brighton.[1]

Falmer St Laurence is an Ancient Parish; the village and civil parish of Falmer is in the Lewes district of East Sussex.
