Brief History

Companies in this Regiment with the Counties of Origin

Men often enlisted in a company recruited in the counties where they lived though not always. After many battles, companies might be combined because so many men were killed or wounded. However if you are unsure which company your ancestor was in, try the company recruited in his county first.

Captain Jaes Alexander's Company - probably from Jefferson County, served from Ausust 23, 1812 until November 30, 1813. Roster.

Captain Aaron Allen's Company - county not known, served from September 15, 1812 until March 16, 1813. Roster.

Captain Jacob Gilbert's Company - probably from Jefferson County, served from August 25, 1812 until February 28, 1813. Roster.

Captain Joseph Holmes' Company - probably from Jefferson County, served from August 23, 1812 until February 28, 1813. Roster.
