Consultation Service
The Family History Library offers free personal research consultations at the Research Desks.
This service is offered as time is available from the research consultants, so every subject is not available at all times. Patrons must visit a Research Desk for an evaluation of their research problem. Then if another consultant is needed (due to another skill set) they may: 1- tell the patron when to come back to the counter, or 2- offer to take contact information that will be given to the other consultant, or 3- suggest the patron post a query to the FamilySearch Forums.
