From FamilySearch Wiki
You can search the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) microform records available within our collection by using the Family History Library Catalog on the Internet:
- Go to www.familysearch.org
- Click Family History Library Catalog
- Click Keyword Search
- Type "microfilm publications" (with the quotes), plus a keyword [keyword - ie. Passenger].
- Click Search button
If the Keyword Search is not available online, search the NARA record by title:
- Go to www.familysearch.org
- Click Family History Library Catalog
- Click Title Search
- Type the National Archives title for the record you are searching
- Click the Search button
- Click the underlined title that matches the record you are searching
Tips:
- If there is a microfilm or microfiche for the item, the option Film Notes will appear at the top of the screen. Click that option to see more details.
- The Title Search is a keyword search. The computer will search for the words you enter wherever they are found in the title. You do not need to know the exact order of the words you want to find.
