4th Units

  • 4th Regiment, Georgia Infantry (Confederate)
    Organized in April, 1861, at Augusta, Georgia, recruited its companies in the counties of Talbot, Troup, Macon, Gordon, Twiggs, Dougherty, Jasper, Baldwin, and Sumter.  April 9, 1865, it surrendered.

5th Units

6th Units

  • 6th Regiment, Georgia Infantry (Confederate)
    Organized at Macon, Georgia, in April, 1861, and soon moved ot Virginia. Its companies were recruited in the counties of Bibb, Crawford, Butts, Baker, Twiggs, Gilmer, Taylor, and Mitchell.  Surrendered with the Army of Tennessee.

7th Units

8th Units

  • 8th Battalion, Georgia Infantry (Confederate)
    Organized with six companies during the early spring of 1862 at Savannah, Georgia. Some of the men were from Adairsville and Thornburgh, and Gordon County. Surrendered on April 26, 1865.

9th Units

10th Units

  • 10th Regiment, Georgia Infantry (Confederate)
    Organized at Jonesboro, Georgia, in June, 1861, and in July moved to Virginia. Its companies were recruited in the counties of Clayton, Chattahoochee, De Kalb, Wilcox, Bibb, Richmond, Fayette, and Pulaski.
