Question: Are birthplaces correct in this collection?
Answer: In many records in this collection, the residence of the bride and groom were inadvertently indexed as birthplaces. There is no mention of Birthplace on the certificate – only the use of the word “of” to show a location for the bride and groom. To verify this, you may order the films (See Ordering Microfilm and Microfiche) in to a local FamilySearch Center and view them there. We recommend you call ahead and verify that the Center has the equipment for viewing films and their hours of operation. The film# can be found on the record details page of the person you are searching.
