Introducing Nordic Collaboration AreaEdit This Page
From FamilySearch Wiki
The Family History Library International B1 Floor will begin testing a new service model for the Nordic countries of Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland February 1, 2013.
The computer area, located on the South portion of the B1 floor, will be dedicated to patrons performing Nordic research who would like to work in collaboration with others researching in the same area. Those who desire to work independently are welcome to utilize any of the other computers located on the floor and come to the Collaboration Area to meet with a research consultant. No change is currently taking place regarding the European and Latin American reference desks.
There will be a research consultant assigned to work at a dedicated computer station within this Nordic area during the hours of 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Mondays and holidays and 10:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesdays-Saturdays. This consultant will provide service in the same manner as that provided currently at the research counter. Patrons waiting to speak with this consultant may wait their turn at the table and chairs provided next to the fiche filing cabinet. Another research consultant will be available for a portion of these hours to roam the area providing quick answer assistance as needed.
Our hope is to improve your patron experience. We look forward to your participation and feedback!
