Histories and Tidbits
- Keedysville, a town in Washington County originally known as Mill Property after Jacob Hess' large grist mill. Then name changed to Centreville, but when it's post-office came in 1848 the name was changed again to Keedysville after storekeeper, Samuel Keedy (derived from the German name Guding,or Getting.) [1]
