The Catholic parish of Carraroe, also spelled Carrowroe and formerly called Killeen, includes part of the civil parishes of Kilcummin and Killannin. There are three chapels. There are three islands in the parish, Lettermore, Lettermullan and Gorumna. Gorumna, which is in the civil parish of Killannin, has four townlands, Creelogh, Knock, Maumsen, Teeranea.
