  • 1st Regiment, French Brigade, Louisiana Militia(Confederate)
    1st Regular Infantry Regiment, formerly the 1st Louisiana Militia Infantry, entered Confederate service in February, 1861. Only 39 men were present in November, 1864, and half that number were included in the surrender of the Department of Alabama, Mississippi, and East Louisiana.
  • Orleans Guards Regiment, Louisiana Militia (Confederate)
    "Orleans Guards Infantry Battalion was a six-company pre-war militia unit that entered Confederate service in December, 1861. Later the unit was mustered out of service, but most of the men transferred to other Louisiana commands.
