History
The Middle Park Agency was established in 1862. It had no central headquarters until the Indians it served were moved to the Ute Reservation in 1869 and an agency headquarters was established on the White River. At that time, the name was changed to the White River Agency[1].

Correspondence and other administrative records may be a part of the records of the Colorado Superintendency.
