This ancient parish (AP) was created before 1813. Church of England records began in 1655.
SKIDBY, a parish, in the union of Beverley, Hunsley-Beacon division of the wapentake of Harthill, E. riding of York, 3 miles (S. by W.) from Beverley. There are places of worship for Wesleyans and Baptists.
