Star Valley Wyoming Headstones

Star Valley, Wyoming, often referred to as Upper Lincoln County, is located just 70 miles south of Jackson Hole, Wyoming along the Idaho border. Settled primarily by Mormon pioneers towards the end of the 19th century, the Valley is rich in pioneer lore and history.

The Star Valley Historical Society has developed a website [1] designed to display relevant historical information for the curious historian and over 4,700 digital headstone images for the serious genealogist photographed from each of the twelve cemeteries in the Valley. Included cemeteries are Afton, Alpine, Amesville, Auburn, Bedford, Etna, Fairview, Freedom, Grover, Smoot, Thayne and Turnerville. Each of these images may be downloaded to your computer and printed free of charge.
