I believe the name "Williams, T.L." should read "Williamson, T.L."
Thomas Lyman Williamson was my Great Grandfather. He was in Company F, 1st Virginia Calvary and fought at Bull Run and throughout the Valley Campaign. His home in New Market, Virginia was commandeered by Major General James Shields as a place to convalesce from injuries he received in battle. My Great Grandmother was given a letter of good will by General Shields for her courtesy during his stay. After the war T. L. Williamson attended Lee University (later named Washington & Lee University).
