Talk:Arizona Archives and LibrariesEdit This Page
From FamilySearch Wiki
I have drastically altered this article. I have deleted the addresses and phone numbers. Why should this wiki duplicate that info? Instead I have given a synopsis of their holdings as given by the archives themselves.
I have also deleted all the county and city library links. Instead I have featured a website that has all those links. Why should this wiki try to duplicate this info?
I would also like to pose a question. What is the difference between an archive and a library? I think the definitions are a bit arbitrary. It seems like some websites can be included in both. Therefore the headings for this article need to be changed. Sabwoo 20:58, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
Archives and Libraries are old terms trying to keep up. Websites are archives. Websites are libraries. Archives may imply an older datasource but again not locked in concrete. Maybe a better term is data source or information source. Cnsieler 04:29, 17 January 2013 (UTC)
