Census article

Hi, I can understand why the Census article has been moved to Census (disambiguation), but I don't think that the resulting redirect should be pointed to United States Census - this isn't the main topic for all researchers, but rather it should be a redirect to Census (disambiguation). --Steve (talk| contribs) 14:24, 6 February 2012 (UTC)

Hi Steve, I read the disambiguation help page and the first paragraph seams to explain the situation with the Census page. Since, most users are likely looking for the US federal or state censuses when they type "census" in the search field, I am of the opinion that the US Censuses page is the primary topic for most English speakers. Of course this is just my opinion. If you feel that the page should redirect to the Census (disambiguation) page please feel free to make it so. I think such a redirect, however, defeats the purpose of the "main topic" concept. Lotje 22:48, 6 February 2012 (UTC)
