List of Extinct Counties and Districts
Niagara District could describe the same area at two different times.
- It was the name of the local administrative region covering Welland and Lincoln 1800-1849
- It is a short form for the Regional Municipality of Niagara which was formed in 1970 and is still in existence.
If the former was meant then the remaining 19 districts of Upper Canada/Canada West ought to be included in the list. If the latter, it should be deleted.
I believe Patricia County was Patricia District. It is certainly far enough north to have been one.
