This article needs a lot of work!  The flag is the wrong shape, the Swiss flag is square!  The list of cantons needs both the correct names (such as Basel-Stadt and Basel-Landschaft) and, in those cases where they are commonly used, the alternate names of the Cantons in French or German.  Genealogists are frequently confused about Cantons, citizenship, where to find church records, privacy laws, languages, history, emigration, geography, naming practices, etc.  Links to other wiki articles relating to Swiss genealogy are needed.

This is a stub article just the beginning of an article and this being a Wiki, all are invited to add.  Please help us with your wonderful knowledge by adding it to this page and any others that need help.  Thanks Sandralpond 13:10, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
