Media bearing this template are added to Category:Files requiring renaming. If no suggestion is made for the new name, the media will be added to Category:Incomplete file renaming requests.

Usage: {{rename media|new name|reason}}

  • Do not include the "File:" prefix.
  • This is for media only. For galleries, categories and templates, use {{move}}.

Example

When an image is named NuewYorKCiti.jpg adding
{{Rename media|NewYorkCity.jpg|The image's title is misspelled.}} creates:
