Using template - feedback

I have been using the Geograph template and attaching images to pages once these have been uploaded however this is the standard reply I receive for each image approved by FamilySearch:

"When you upload images in the future, please include the following information:

1. The exact location (city/county/state/province/country) of where the image was taken OR the page that the image will be included on so that it can be categorized correctly
2. Author - who took/created the image, or, if the image is from Wikipedia Commons, the link of the original image
3. Source - where the image is from - e.g. a collection or project

Please add the above information to this image:

For this image, if you could go to the image and edit the page to add the above information, we would greatly appreciate it. If you're not sure how, let us know and we'll walk you through it. Here are two links that will help you do that:.....

This standard reply implies that I am not completing the Geograph template correctly when I am in fact providing all the required field information which is reflected in the loaded image. It appears that this standard reply is not being adapted to Geograph template submitters.I also notice that FamilySearch are loading images with the Geograph title which does not enable the search for an image I prefer to identify the parish by placename>church name>county to enable searches It seems inappropriate for FamilySearch to load an image "Rear view from churchyard of St...." which is relevant to Geograph but unhelpful to the search within wiki. Hi Amberley, thank you for your comments. I knew that had been some problems when this template was first introduced and that support were insisting on uploads using {{information}}. I thought that when this issue was resolved that everything was now working OK. Now that I am aware of the continuing problems with this mismatch of information provided and response, I will contact those I know in support to have them update their processes. I agree with you on the naming issue. Are uploaders changing the name of the files you are submitting? Once a file is uploaded and the name is inappropriate the file can be marked to be renamed with the template {{rename media}}. Again thanks for bringing this issue to the fore. --Steve (talk| contribs) 06:53, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
Yes to both Steve, the uploaders are occasionally using the Geograph title rather than a wiki identifier and sometimes the upload is using Upload and a numerical identifier which takes time to locate the parish name etc in the image search box. It would be helpful if the image search could be refined to placename>church>county for English churches of all denominations as it is often necessary to load more than one image for an Anglican parish where churches have been replaced or other faiths have adapted old church buildings. The inconsistent uploading practice is time consuming to negotiate. Amberley 06:23, 23 September 2011 (UTC)
Amberley, thanks for bringing this to our attention. I work with the team that uploads these files, there are a number of people who do so, and we will cover these items with them. The system that we pull the images from gives them that terrible name/number combination, and they may not realize that the images were named something else to begin with, so we'll work through that. Thanks for the notice. -- janellv (talk| contribs) 11:31, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

Template used - data not included

I have also used the template to find the image loaded with none of the geograph data submitted used and my own name included rather than the attributed photographer and geograph data. I am also being asked to submit data using the template referred to. I have replied to point out that support are not using the template information provided. Moment 08:28, 4 October 2011 (UTC)

Hi Moment, can you direct me to an example of two of the images in question. Looking at your contributions I see you recently add the image File:Arksey All Saints Doncaster Yorkshire.jpg.jpg to an article. Was this one? The image has come from Geograph, but the photographer is credited, although not using the custom {{Geograph}} template. Any more information you can give would be appreciated. --Steve (talk| contribs) 12:56, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
