Route
- A system of various trails linked together leading from Nashville, Tennessee to the Great Lakes.
- Route leading from Kentucky and the upper south such as Virginia, North and South Carolina to the lands in Ohio, Indiana and Michigan.
- Upon arriving on the Great Lakes a settler could then take a boat to Minnesota and to points in the upper mid west.
