Abbott Butte; named for Hiram Abbott, usually known as Hi Abbott, sub-agent, perhaps with the Rogue River Indians.

Abes Mountain, named for Abraham Wilson, an early resident of the area and a packer forthe USFS during the 1920s. Five miles southeast of Red Butte.

Ace Williams Mountain, prominent nose above the north bank of Little River three miles southeast of Glide, named for Asa Williams who settled near its base about 1854. The spelling of the first name has been corrupted for many years.

Acker Rock, The point south of South Umpqua River near the headwaters, named for Hiram E. Acker, originally from Texas, who settled at nearby Tallow Butte in 1913.
