From FamilySearch Wiki
West Sussex based genealogist and teacher. Working to describe West Sussex parishes in particular and enable civil parish and Sussex Online Parish Clerks to be located and utilised by researchers.
Finding FamilySearch wiki an extremely frustrating environment to work within and grateful to Henry for preserving my sanity and for a supportive Sussex team of local historians!
Please could English records be described in English and not in American? It's a decade long familiar tension for those of us who have worked Wikipedia parish and county pages but FamilySearch needs to address the American focus which so deters European contributors and readers alike.
research does not end before 1900 in fact those beginners in England need to locate post 1900 record sources and need to identify online census not microfilm - your page layout refers only to microfilming.
civil parishes need to be identified your page layout is oriented to Anglican pre 1851 parishes only omitting many record sources and indeed district churches and parishes, mission churches later parishes.
