My love of genealogy began when I was thirteen and took a Sunday School course on genealogy and it has not ceased from that moment. I wanted to major in genealogy in college, but it was not offered at that time, so I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education at Brigham Young University with a minor in Music.
Over the years, I gained experience in most areas of the United States with a particular emphasis in the Midwest, which is the area in which I am working on becoming accredited. I also spent time in Swedish, English and German records since these countries were the origins of many of my ancestors. In the process, I learned much about immigration and how to find the ancestral villages.
More recently I began working as a professional for several clients, a few companies and am currently working at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City as a "temp" with the US/Canada unit.
