A repository for legal texts. Of interest to genealogists are the Canadian Law Lists from 1923 (incomplete) providing information on practicing lawyers, arranged by province, then locality. Also some American and International lists.

Located on the main floor of the Legislative Building, the Provincial Legislative Library maintains the best collection of Alberta newspapers. A computerized index identifies the community and years available (from early 1900). Some are available on microfilm which are available through interlibrary loan.

There is no staff available during evening openings to access microfilm, however, they can be obtained by phoning beforehand to have them ready for your visit.
