  1. Navigation bar updates (Michael)
    In order to simplify and display only those items needed by most users, a few links on the Navigation bar were removed ("Random page", "News and events", "About this site"). "Random page" is available from Special pages. Portlets for News and Events are listed on the Main page. See "Get started with this site" for information about the site.
  2. Stub template information (Mollie)
    The "Stub" template is used to indicate that a given article needs to be expanded. To use it, from editor (rich or wikitext editor), enter: "{"stub"}" (without the quotes)
  3. Recent changes (Mollie)
    Demonstrated how this page is used. For further information see Mediawiki's description at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Recent_Changes
  4. New forum on FamilySearchSupport.org (Michael)
    Links to a new integrated forum can be found on the Main page (within Navigation window) to all of the associated forums (http://forums.familysearchsupport.org/index.php) and from the Feedback page (specific to feedback: http://forums.familysearchsupport.org/forumdisplay.php?f=1).
  5. Featured Author (Anne)
    In addition to the portlet on the Main page, there is also now a link from the Family History Library (FHL) site to the Featured Author.
  6. FHL and Worldwide Support (WWS) now a combined division of the Family History Department (Michael)
  7. Issues
    * Jimmy reported that after editing a portlet, the system seems to hang (reported the issue via Clarify but no response).
      Response: determine how to replicate the problem on a consistent basis to allow support teams to investigate
    * Geoff had some questions relating to the deletion of an image.
      Response: deletions of pages and images may only be accomplished by sysops or moderators. Michael brought up the use of GIMP - The GNU Image Manipulation Program and Thomas IrfanView ... one of the most popular viewers worldwide. Sammy will show picnik next week.
    * Thomas reported "Error on page" (see http://tech.lds.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1290)
      Response: this may be a result of corrupt data
