Thank you for the welcome. :)
Hi Sarah, I see you are adding some content related to parishes of Yorkshire. Thank you. Please note that some of these parish pages have already been created with Yorkshire in the article title. For example Kippax is nearly identical to Kippax, Yorkshire. Please let me know if you would like to discuss this further. --Steve 15:50, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
Hello Sarah, I see that you have edited some film tables I created. Is it the intention of the FamilyHistory Library to re-edit all film tables? It would be helpful if The Diocese of Norwich Archdeacon's Transcript film tables could be added rather than editing tables Norwich St Paul, Norfolk
The reason I edited the film tables was to make it simpler for people to see what was on a film, where as the catalogue simply list the years in chronological order, which can be difficult to read. It was a small project to do between putting templates in the proscribed parish pages. I don't know the Library's intention concerning all of the British film tables, I was just completing a project, however I can pass on your request.
Sorry if I ruffled feathers in any way,
It is simply that feedback from English users dislikes the reference to the Family History Library in Salt Lake. For this reason the headings Content and Film were preferred for English parishes. It may seem a small point but it is based on user feedback which sometimes objects to a Salt Lake Centric approach to Family History. I write with an English accent and try to respond to feedback expressed within collection use as a collections content contributor. I won't lose sleep over it but may steer criticisms your way!
I'm going to start changing the Cheshire parish film tables, but I don't know how long it will take because of my other projects. I'm leaving the parish register and bishop's transcript headings because that is valuable genealogically speaking as far as what you're dealing with in a record, but I'll be changing the other heading to 'Film.'
If this doesn't work, please let me know,
