This category is for countries on the continent or nearby islands of Africa. The Canary Islands are categorized with Spain, and Saint Helena with the United Kingdom.

Prefer to push individual Wiki pages and articles down to as local a level as logically possible. For example, if the article is mostly about Nigeria, and relatively little of it applies to other countries, it is better to categorize it under Nigeria than under the Africa category.
