Route from Providence, Rhode Island to New York City passing through Connecticut. Today known as US Route 1.
Historical Background
Chartered in May 1806. Running through the towns of: Fairfield - Southport - Westport - Norwalk - Darien - Stamford - Greenwich - New York (Westchester Turnpike).[1]
