After finding an appropriate image that you want to add to the Wiki there are two possible routes to add an image to a page:
- submit the image for approval and uploading (as described in this article), or
- without prior approval (as described in Help:Uploading images and files) - This method is only available to users with upload rights (Reviewer and above).
Submitting Images
This article will teach you how to get the image approved and uploaded. When the image is uploaded, it will not be added to an actual Wiki page, but rather in the image namespace, much like a storage space for the images or files. After submitting the image or file for approval, you will be notified that the image was uploaded. Later, if and when your image is approved, you will be notified that it was approved. You will be given a link to your image. You will then need to insert the uploaded image into the Wiki page where you want it to appear.
