Chapel History
St. James', created by 1784, erected in 1787, and consecrated in 1788; it is a spacious brick edifice, with a small stone spire.
It lay within the civil parish boundaries of Our Lady St Mary (The Cathedral Church), Manchester.[1]
Manchester St James was created a chapel of ease in by 1787 from, and lying within the boundaries of Manchester Our Lady, St George and St Denys, Lancashire Ancient Parish; located on George Street.
The Church closed in 1928.
