Parish History

'BOW, or Stratford-le-Bow St. Mary, formerly a chapelry until 1730, and then became a parish, in the borough of Tower Hamlets, union of Poplar, Tower division of the hundred of Ossulstone, County of Middlesex, 4½ miles east by northeast of London.

There were built here, chapels of worship for Wesleyans Methodists, Baptists, and Roman Catholics.'[1]
