The USGenWeb Project is group of volunteers working together to provide free genealogy websites for genealogical research in every county and every state of the United States. This Project is non-commercial and fully committed to free genealogy access for everyone.

Organization is by county and state.

The USGenWeb Project also sponsors important Special Projects at the national level. They are:

The USGenWeb Family Group Sheet Project

The USGenWeb African American Griots Project

The USGenWeb Genealogical Events Project

The USGenWeb Kidz Project

The USGenWeb Lineage Project

Within The USGenWeb Archives Project, there are several sub-projects:

The USGenWeb Digital Map Library

The Pension Project

The Online Census Images Project

The Church Records Project

The Immigrantions Project

The Marriage Records Project

The Obituary Project

The Special Collections Project

The Court Cases Project

The projects outside of The USGenWeb Project. Both call themselves The USGenWeb Census Project but neither are affiliated with The USGenWeb Project.
