Histories and Tidbits
Weverton is an unincorporated hamlet in the southern part of Washington County Maryland.
Weverton was named in honor of Caspar Wever who was the construction superintendent of B&O's railroad. In 1828, under Caspar Wever's influence, stone became the B&O's first choice for bridge materials leaving the area with beautiful arch bridges.
