If you’re a Boy Scout and want to earn your Genealogy merit badge, now is the time to come to the RootsTech Family History Conference and fulfill the requirements. RootsTech is being held in the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City, Utah from March 21-23.
One of the attractions in the exhibit hall is the Genealogy merit badge booth. Boy Scouts can visit the booth and get the help they need from someone who will work with them to fulfill the requirements to earn their genealogy merit badge. In most cases, all requirements can fulfilled within 2 to 3 hours. With the help of experts, each scout can have a fun and meaningful experience earning this merit badge.
Merit badge forms will be provided at the booth. By the time a scout is finished he will have all requirements completed and forms ready for their scout leaders to sign. Scouts should bring a cell phone with them in order to call family members (parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, etc.) or bring a parent they can interview and ask questions to about their family.
There is no charge for scouts who come to the exhibit hall to visit the Genealogy merit badge booth. It’s free, it’s fun and it’s easy. So come to the Salt Palace and enjoy the fun of earning your genealogy merit badge.
