Have you done the challenge yet? Family History employees and missionaries who attended the recent department business meeting will remember Dennis Brimhall’s challenge for each of us to look at the So Now What? card that was handed out at the end of the meeting. With this card, Dennis challenged each of us to do the following:
- Attend the Ambassador Kit Training by your manager or zone leader.
- Upload a photo and story to your Family Tree.
- Qualify a family name for temple ordinances.
- Help someone do the same.
How many of you have done one or more of these challenges? If you haven’t, please take a few minutes and visit with your department Human Resources rep. Ask for a copy of Dennis’ So Now What? challenge card and get all the details you need to know. Then, go to www.familysearch.org and open your Family Tree.
You may be surprised at how easy it is to upload a photo and a story to the tree and to qualify a name for temple ordinances. Once you’ve done that, talk to a family member, a friend, or even ward member and show them how easy it is. As an employee of the Family History department, we should all be ambassadors for this great work.
If your supervisor hasn’t talked to you about your Ambassador training, then take a minute and ask if when he or she plans on doing it. It’s quick and easy to do and it provides you with a great understanding what you, as a Family History department employee can share with friends and family. Do the challenge today and see how easy it is.
