Do you know someone who would like to contribute to the Wiki but doesn’t know how to edit pages? Maybe he or she doesn’t want to learn how to edit, but just wants to add to an article. To help people like this, a new process has been established that will make it easier for them.
A form has been created that allows contributors to just “fill in the blanks” for the information they want to have added. After the form is submitted, a volunteer will transcribe the information into the Wiki. See https://www.familysearch.org/learn/wiki/en/FamilySearch_Wiki:Content_Submission_Form for further information.
In addition to submitting content, are you doing research on a topic that doesn’t have much information in the Wiki? Do you know someone else who is in that position? We now have a form that will allow you to request that a researcher focus some attention on that topic for you. See https://www.familysearch.org/learn/wiki/en/FamilySearch_Wiki:Content_request_form for more details.
With this new help, we have a need for volunteers! If you’re willing to spend some time in helping to develop the Wiki, we need you. We’ll even train you. Our Transcriber or Researcher Volunteer Form page will give you more information and a form to fill out. https://www.familysearch.org/learn/wiki/en/FamilySearch_Wiki:Content_Transcriber/Researcher_Volunteer_Form
Through these processes, the Wiki can be more fully developed ,and we can bring in new contributors and new researchers. Take a look at these pages and help us build the Wiki.
