At the Centennial Celebration of the Society of Genealogists in London, Alex Graham, Executive Producer of the BBC series Who Do You Think You Are? compared numbers of viewers of a popular history programme to viewers of his show. The results were that a primetime history series by Simon Schama typically attracted 1-2 million viewers per episode, whilst Who Do You Think You Are? attracted 5+ million viewers per episode.
