Sister Whitney Horning always wanted to serve a mission. Her chance came after college, marriage, and beginning a family. She accepted a call as a FamilySearch support missionary assigned to work from her own home, answering calls and emails from FamilySearch users.
“I love helping people to have success,” she says. “And I feel like I am a better mother when my children come home because I have been helping and serving and loving other people. I am happier and more at peace. And when my children come in the door, there’s more of me to give to them. There’s this magic that takes place as our hearts are turned.”
A part-time FamilySearch support mission could be a great fit for those who have served as ward or stake family history consultants. It may also be the type of service opportunity one of your ward or stake members are looking for.
