Trying to find records for surnames: Langneff, Longneff, and Pautz in Prussia; DiGregorio and Zaso in Italy. Have Castle Garden and Ellis Island arrival records, but can’t find actual records in the “old country”. Cannot get any of the first names I have to “match”. Need a different direction for lookup.
Many thanks for any leads.
I keep getting ship lists with no heading. I am never sure which column to use for nationality or birth place. It has a place to show you what it looks like but no idea as to how
I keep getting ship lists with no heading. Therefore I don’t know what column to use for place of birth or nationality? It usually says Germany or England the first column. United States the next column. I have read example lists, but there again no instructions.
